Official Rules

No Purchase Necessary to Enter or Win.
Eligibility: Sweepstakes open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 years of age and older at the time of entry. Employees, officers, directors, representatives and agents of FUNimation, Inc. (“Sponsor”), its parent, subsidiary & affiliated companies, advertising, promotion & administrative agencies, hospodka&white (hereafter, collectively “Released Parties”) and their immediate families (spouse, parent, child, sibling and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and those living in their same household, whether or not related are not eligible to enter or win..  Void where prohibited. This sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.  Two Ways to Participate: 1) Visit http://www.afrosamurai.com/contests/ipod_giveaway/ between 12:00:00 AM Central Time (“CT”) on 8/20/07 and 11:59.59 PM CT on 10/12/07 (the “promotion period”) & complete & submit an online Official Entry Form to receive an entry into the sweepstakes. 2) Hand print your name, address, zip code, phone number (including area code) and date of birth on a plain 3” X 5” piece of paper and mail your entry in a #10 envelope with proper first class postage affixed to be received by 10/26/07 to: Afro Samurai iTunes Sweepstakes, P.O. Box 1145, Addison, Texas 75001-1145.  Limit one (1) entry per person/email address/household, regardless of the method of entry. Additional entries beyond the specified limit received from any one person, email address or household will be void.  Released Parties are not responsible for failures or malfunctions of phones, phone lines or telephone systems; lost entries, transmissions; interrupted or unavailable network, server or other connections, cancelled or postponed events; miscommunications, failed computer hardware or software or other technical failures; garbled, misrouted or scrambled transmissions; incomplete entries or communications; or other errors or problems of any kind whether computer, network, technical, mechanical, human, electronic or otherwise relating to or in connection with the sweepstakes, including, without limitation, errors which may occur in connection with the administration of the sweepstakes or the processing of entries; for lost, late, incomplete, damaged, stolen, inaccurate, delayed, undelivered, misdirected, illegible, or for printing or typographical errors appearing in these rules, the announcement of the prizes or in any other sweepstakes materials.  By participating, entrants agree to abide by these Official Rules & to the decisions of the Sponsor and judges, which shall be final & binding in all matters relating to this sweepstakes. Sweepstakes entries generated by a script, macro or other mechanical or automated means will be disqualified.  In the event of a dispute as to the identity of an online entrant based on the email address submitted, entrant will be deemed individual named on the entry form.  All entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned.
Winner Selection: Potential winners will be selected in a random drawing conducted on or about 10/31/07 from among all eligible entries received.  FUNimation, Inc, the sponsor, whose decisions are final and binding on all matters relating to the sweepstakes, will conduct drawing.  Odds of winning will depend on the total number of eligible entries received. Prizes: (8) Grand Prize: One of a kind 30GB iPod (black, part number: MA446LL/A) with custom-drawn artwork by Afro Samurai creator Takashi Okazaki, signed by both Takashi Okazaki and director Fuminori Kizaki. APR: $249. (15) First Prizes: iTunes Gift Card with face value of $25.  APR: $25.00 (30) Second Prizes: iTunes Gift Cards with face value of $15.00. APR: $5.00. Taxes, if any, & other costs and expenses associated with prize acceptance and use not specifically stated herein as being awarded, are the sole responsibility of the individual winner.  Prizes are awarded “as is” without warranty or guarantee either express or implied by Sponsor. Total ARV of all prizes: $2,817.  All prize details are at Sponsor’s sole discretion.
Miscellaneous: No transfer, assignment, cash redemption, or substitution of prize except by Sponsor, who reserves the right to substitute a prize (or applicable portion of prize) of comparable or greater value.  Grand Prize winners will be required to execute & return an affidavit of eligibility, a liability release, & where allowed by law, a publicity release, within 7 days of issuance of notification. Failure to satisfy any of the foregoing, these rules or if prize notification or prize is returned or is non-deliverable for any reason, prize may be forfeited & an alternate winner may be selected from all remaining eligible entries at Sponsor’s discretion. By entering, entrant agree: 1) that Sponsor and its designees shall have the right & permission to use (if entrant is winner) entrant’s name and/or picture and/or likeness or biographical information or voice for trade, advertising, promotional and/or any other purpose in any media now or hereafter known worldwide in perpetuity without any further consideration, permission or notification except where prohibited by law; and 2) that Released Parties shall have no liability and will be held harmless for any liability, loss, injury or damage, including, without limitation, personal injury, death or damage to personal or real property, to entrant or any other person or entity due in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, by reason of the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of a prize (including any travel or activity related thereto) or participation in this sweepstakes. If this sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned due to any cause, including but not limited to war, strikes, and/or acts of God, which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this sweepstakes, the Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who it believes has tampered with the entry process (and void his/her entry), and/or to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the sweepstakes and in the event of cancellation or termination, at its discretion, conduct a random drawing to select the winner from among all eligible non-suspect entries received prior to the event requiring such cancellation or termination. 

 Winners List: For a list of winners receiving a prize valued at $25 and greater, available after 11/26/07, send a stamped, self-addressed envelope for receipt by 10/31/07 to: Afro Samurai iTunes Sweepstakes Winners, P.O. Box 1147, Addison, TX 75001-1147.
